A few months later, again at my aunt's house, this time during a white elephant gift exchange, someone gave Beck a present to open, and another attachment was formed:
There were two of them then, and she wouldn't put them down for days. "These are my guys, mommy. They're sad."
Since then, I've been noticing what odd tastes she has. Don't get me wrong, she loves a good dolly as much, or maybe more, than the next girl, but also in her toy box of favorites is a fake dog poop, 'Lil Bill (as in Cosby) and Burger King wristbands.
So I thought I'd share some of her favorite Youtube videos. This is what she asks for if she finds her way onto our laps at the computer:
She calls this "Swee-chee." We think it's from this Japanese kids show. Why don't we have quality programming like this?
Don't ask. Here's the original, which is great.
This gem is courtesy of Mikey's friend Jed, from the Provonian. "Mom, those guys are happy. They are burning." Yes dear. Yes they are.

I like the Japanese machines. I showed them to my biology class this morning--even though it had no relation to what we were talking about. It's fun to see how kids pick up different parts of their parents' personalities.
